    Here’s our hotlist of 20 of the most popular and iconic bags of our times. Some are still on top of our wish list whilst others have been victims of their own success. We’ve seen many exchange hands at our events and have just as many requests to source more!


    1. Chanel - 2.55  Coco Chanel designed this bag, recognising that the modern women needed to have her hands free while attending social functions. Karl Lagerfield Chanel released an exact copy of the original 2.55 in February 2005 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the original. This bag has become one of the most iconic of our times.

    2. Hermes - Kelly Introduced in the 1930s and made popular by Grace Kelly in the 1950s when she used her bag to hide her pregnancy from the paparazzi. Photos of her pregnancy bulge and her Hermes bag were splashed across the globe. It still remains one of the most sought after bags of our times.

    3. Hermes - Birkin Named after actress Jane Birkin, highly coveted and reputed for having a waiting list of up to 6 years. Each one is made to order with different hides, color, and hardware fixtures as well as diamond-encrusting. Prices ranging from 6k to 10000k! Iconic with a capital I!

    4. Balanciaga - Lariat Designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere in 2001 these motorcycle-inspired bags are immediately recognizable. They reached iconic status after being worn by celebrities world wide including Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.

    5. Gucci - Jackie O First created in the late fifties, the Jackie O is an instantly recognizable classic. Originally called the Bouvier bag, Gucci renamed this bag after former US First Lady Jackie Onassis was frequently spotted with one.

    6. Fendi - Baguette The name of the bag Baguette comes from its shape, which resembles a French baguette. It was introduced in 1997 and made famous by Carrie in Sex and the City.

    7. Lady Dior - Cannage Named after the trademark quilted pattern. This bag was launched in 1997 and made famous by Lady Diana.

    8. Dior - Saddle The Saddle Bag was former Dior designer John Galliano’s first cult bag, first introduced in 1997 he designed a limited addition of 12 bags to mark his 10th anniversary at the design house. Each one representing a different country.

    9. Marc Jacobs - Stam Named after the designers close friend, Supermodel, Jessica Stam. Seen on the arms of many a celebrity including Mary J Blige, Hailey Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Maria Sharapova, Dita von Teese and Kate Beckinsale.

    10. Alexander McQueen - Novak Introduced in A/W 2005 this bag was inspired by Kim Novak, a vintage-era starlet who appeared in Alfred Hitchcock films. Original only 200 bags were made, making it highly sought after!

    11. YSL - Muse First introduced in 2005 in 3 different sizes, it has continued to be a handbag of choice for fashionistas and celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss and Jessica Alba.

    12. Mulberry - Luella A collaboration between Luella and Mulberry and famously modeled by Giselle Bundchen on the catwalk in 2002. Luella went on to create many different versions under her own brand name.

    13. YSL - Mombosa Designed by Tom Ford and Introduced in Spring 2002 in different sizes, colours and fabrics, it quickly became a iconic bag. The deer horns were naturally shed.

    14. Fendi - Spy Launched in Spring 06 The ‘Spy’ Bag a favorite of style stars like Hilary Duff and Linda Evangelista. Had a notoriously long waiting list.

    15. Prada - Gauffre Winter 2006 saw the launch of the Prada Gauffre. Victoria Beckham, Halle Berry, Beyonce and Madonna have all been photographed with theirs making it another celebrity favourite.

    16. YSL - Downtown Launched Spring 2007 became the next must have bag for celebrities and fashionistas worldwide.

    17. Chloe - Paddington Created by designer Phoebe Philo in 2005 and worn by Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.

    18. Mulberry - Bayswater Mulberry are the handbag brand of the moment. The Bayswater is a classic.

    19. Louis Vuitton - Neverful Shown here with the murakami logo, the Neverful is one of the must timeless and elegant of the LV bags. An iconic shape that is both practical and stylish.

    20. Mulberry - Alexa A cross between the Bayswater and the Mulberry mens Elkington briefcase, the Alexa is currently on every fashionistas wish list!
