Saturday 4th February see’s the next edition of our hugely popular designer recycling events. Know in the industry as a great place to network as well as grab some amazing bargains - it’s no surprise that tickets are in hot demand! Read the profiles of some of the ladies who will be there, throwing open the doors to their fabulous wardrobes and sharing stories of where they wore that dress last! Don’t forget to bag a ticket as they are going fast!
Huma Humayun
Huma is a freelance fashion stylist and works mostly on fashion editorials for a number of magazines, including international editions of Vanity Fair, Tatler and Elle. Huma has a huge wardrobe collection due to the nature of her job and some of the items on sale have never been worn and still have tags on!
Items for sale, include a vintage Burberry jacket, Gucci shoes and clothing and accessories by labels including Alberta Ferretti, Tierry Mugler, Ronit Zilkha, Tracy Reese, Longchamp. Jewellery by Erickson Beamon, lingerie/swimwear (unused shoot samples) by Madame V, Vivienne Westwood, Agent Provocateur and Rigby & Peller.
Additional items from diffusion lines include M Missoni, McQ by Alexander MqQueen, Valentino Roma, See by Chloe, and boutique labels such as Frost French and Day Birger & Mikkelsen.
Lorna Oakley
Lorna is a lover of all things stylish and owner of online boutique Stylust. A self confessed shopaholic she has turned her hobby into a business and is in the middle of opening a designer boutique in Windsor. Her wardrobe is full of amazing finds from her travels and her business trips to Italy. Trained in window dressing in Portofino, her wardrobe drifts towards glam Italian labels but includes some relaxed pieces too.
Expect to find pieces (some unworn) from Matthew Williamson, Burberry, Dolce & Gabanna, Patrizia Pepe, CC Skye and lots more ….
Cecile Freeman
Cecile runs online boutique Wardrobe Vintage and will be selling an eclectic mix of vintage, designer and high-end high street labels from the UK and Los Angeles. Labels include Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Marc by Marc Jacobs, All Saints, and Whistles.. A collaboration with a vintage store in Venice, CA means she will be offering one- off pieces not found in the UK.
Mimma Viglezio
Mimma, formerly executive vice president of global communications at Gucci Group, a business consultant and associate publisher at i-D magazine. Mimma is a resident seller at our events, she will be bringing high end items from the likes of Gucci and Balanceiaga at prices you could only dream of. All of her sales proceeds are donated to the charity PRASAD.
Abigail Lerman
Abigail, HR Director for Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and for all brands of PPR Luxury Group in the UK, she has 6 years worth of wardrobe delights. High Street vintage chick turned luxury brand fashion addict, she likes to mix it up. Known for impulse buying – but also has a skillful eye for key wardrobe pieces, from glamorous frocks to chunky knits you’re in for a treat!
Stacy Louise John
Stacy is a jewellery wholesaler based half the year just outside New York City and the rest of the time in Milan. Her products are sold in boutiques from Barcelona to Beverly Hills, so her impressive client base leads to some wonderful shopping opportunities! At least twice a year, Stacy cleans out her closet and jewellery inventory to make room for new finds - this is her second time participating at the Buy My Wardrobe winter event and her selection will include pieces from big names like Marni and Dolce&Gabbana to smaller contemporary labels from both Europe and the USA.
Corina Sylira
Corina is an investment banker with a good designer wardrobe steaming from an interest in fashion and the need for a chic wardrobe for work and client events. She has travelled excessively in the US, France, Italy and Greece, always keeping a keen eye for special fashion pieces. As a happy mother of 2 young children, a number of her clothes are the wrong size for her post babies figure so she is keen they find a new loving owner.
Tara Nash-King
Tara founded Chic&Seek in November 2009. Previously a Wholesale Executive at Anya Hindmarch she left to start a service and online store selling pre-loved designer clothing. Her clientele are mainly fashionista’s and uber chic ladies from Kensington & Chelsea. Her mews house in Notting Hill is now a showroom where clients shop by appointment at their leisure. She will be bringing along a selection of her best pieces for the sale.
Savannah Barthorpe
Savannah is a well established fashion stylist living and working in central London and returning for her fourth BuyMyWardrobe event. Through her work and general passion for fashion she has amassed another collection of clothes, shoes and accessories to sell. This includes labels like Vivienne Westwood and Prada as well as some quality high street stuff.
She has a very individual eclectic style and is an expert at mixing couture with vintage and high street finds . Clothing size 6-8 and shoes size 37. Many of the items are hardly used. Follow her stylish life on twitter.com/savannahstylist
Laura Ferrall-Peevey
Laura is a fashion stylist who runs Luxe Boutique- an agency who sell on behalf of their London clients spanning a range of celebrities, stylists, fashion insiders and self confessed shopaholics!
Nicole Bremner
Nicole’s fashion career started as a teenager designing and sewing clothes with her dressmaker mother. In 2005 Nicole quit her job in the City and launched Brittique.com, an online retailer for up and coming British designers. She moved to New York in 2007 and had three children in three years. Moving back to London in 2010, Nicole is now enjoying being a stay at home mum. Clothing and accessories on offer include amazing items from the designer brands she stocked at Brittique as well as sharp designer clothing from Nicole’s former life working in the City.
