Hermes Fever!

Forget diamonds being a girl’s best friend, judging by the excitement that 3 pre-loved Hermes bags caused in our boutique last week we’d definitely say that arm candy is the way to a woman’s heart!

Yesterday was our first ever BuyMyWardrobe Press Day and we’re already wishing we could do it all over again. We spent the day talking closets, eating cupcakes and sipping on cocktails!

Today’s challenge: Christopher Kane Leather Jacket.

Just in, this amazing black leather Christopher Kane jacket with embroidered flowers on the back is the perfect jacket for dressing for a confused summer. Here is how we styled this statement piece 3 different ways.

Look 1 is perfect for Friday night drinks or a night out, worn over a bright coral coloured blouse and a Gryphon velvet skirt with a black and gold print. This stylish outfit has been accessorised with a pair of vintage Carita gold earrings and a pair of sky-high Lanvin wedges.

For a more casual look, we paired the jacket with a striped Biba jumper dress, a suede black Jimmy Choo bag and oversized Tom Ford sunglasses. We added bright blue and gold Chanel heels for a splash of colour.

Going out for dinner? Wear the jacket over this white Halston dress (as seen on Sarah Jessica Parker in SATC 2) and pair it with classic, black peep-toe Christian Louboutin’s. Add a simple black BCBG clutch as a finishing touch.

Today’s challenge: Joseph blouse.

Say hello to our newest intern, Emily, who showed us how she would style this sleeveless cream silk pussybow top for three different occasions, with items from our London boutique.

Heading for a date with the boyfriend, she rocks a couture metallic gold lace fitted skirt, sequin Prada flats (she’s pretty tall) and a classic Chanel 2.55 bag.

For look number two, a day in the office she teams it with a mustard Chloe flippy skirt, leopard print ponyskin tote by YSL and brown peep toe Christian Louboutin espadrilles.

Then it’s cocktails with the girls, styling it up with high waisted monochrome stripe shorts by Carven, a vintage Gucci patent handbag and hot pink Sergio Rossi kitten heels for an instant colour pop.

Wimbledon Fashion

After crashing out of the UEFA Euro, we couldn’t be more pleased that Wimbledon has taken over this week and ladies this is one sporting tournament that means a new outfit.

If you’re heading to Centre Court you want to look stylish but still feel comfortable. A modest summer dress will do the trick and our boutique is the perfect place to find one. Pair with a wedge, or choose a pair of simple sandals for a much more relaxed look.

World of Rituals

Last night Alex and Vicki stepped into a World of Rituals at The Soho Hotel after work. Bigger than most of our flats, the Terrace Suite was the perfect backdrop for a journey through all the beautiful products Rituals has to offer.

A favourite room had to be the bathroom, not only because of the fabulous hand massages from the lovely Rituals girls but because of the sweet smelling haven of luxurious bath and body products that Rituals are famed for.

Step in the bedroom and who knew they did make up and clothing? Manicurists were on hand to pamper. Picking a colour was a challenge, we wanted to try them all!

Back in the kitchen and lounge area, champagne and dessert canapés were served up to complete a perfect evening of Rituals.

From make- up to washing up liquid, Rituals really does do it all!

Thursday Thirst

This morning we received a mystery package, which turned out to be our prize from the Juiceology ‘name your favourite cocktail’ twitter competition last week.

A selection of four luxury blended drinks were quickly snapped up in our thirsty office, including fruity concoctions such as ‘Mandarin, Ginger & Cardamom’ which Kal (@KalDiPaola) had for breakfast.

Vicki (@rag_magpie) is taking her ‘Apple, Lime & Mint’ juice home to add a splash of vodka to later, and Marijne (@MarijneWassink) is swigging the ‘Lychee, Berry & Basil’ variety with a healthy salad for lunch. Alex (@Alex_Churton) opted for the ‘Coconut Water & White Guava’ flavour to reminisce about her recent Caribbean holiday (she wishes it was a proper Pina Colada really!)

So, thanks for those Juiceology - we look forward to trying more!

We are all aware of how unpredictable the great British weather can be (or predictable some would say!) So, as Kate Middleton knows, we all need a good jacket in our wardrobe even at the height of summer, and the Chanel pre-fall 2012 collection made us go weak at the knees.

We’ve had a steady flow of women in our shop over the last few days worried that the outfit they had prepared to wear to Ascot was now deemed inappropriate! The wait is finally over, on Wednesday 18th July the ever-popular BuyMyHandbag event returns with another specially sourced collection of pre-loved designer handbags.

BuyMyHandbag will take place at Archer Street, new and exclusive, this champagne & cocktail lounge is London’s latest hotspot. As if a room full of designer handbags wasn’t enough, ladies can get glammed up at the Ink Aesthetics lash bar, offering a choice of semi permanent eyelash extensions or cluster false lashes all evening. VIP ticket holders will receive a complimentary false lash treatment (first come first served) and get first pick of the designer bargains during a champagne preview hour.
